Know Theatre - A Stage Set for Alternative Theatre

Overview	This month's @ the Underground Winky by George Saunders adapted for The Satori Group by Spike Friedman directed by Chris Wesselman February 21, 22, & 23 @ 8pm Ordinary life is pretty complicated stuff, but after attending a self-help seminar, Neil is finally on the path to Inner Peace. His new mantra: ‘Now is the Time for Me to Win.’ The only roadblock: he still lives at home with his fundamentalist sister, Winky. Adapted from the celebrated short story by George Saunders, Winky is, “A tragicomic duet for codependents.” (New York Times) All tickets are $6
How To Get Involved	As part of Know Theatre’s Jackson Street Market, @ the Underground aims to continue exploring the types of experimental theatre encouraged by the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, with a focus on productions that may be submitted to our Fringe, as well as others. Each night of the series will feature a headlining production as well as three 10-minute slots (or “warm-up acts”) made available via a lottery to anyone who wishes to perform, recite, or discuss any projects of their own. Please note that an appearance in a previous Fringe Festival or as a warm-up act for @ the Underground is a prerequisite to producing a headlining production. If you would like to participate as a warm-up act, simply arrive at the Underground by 7:15pm the day of the performance with your material ready and you will be entered into a lottery which will be drawn just before 7:30. If you are chosen, you will receive a refund on your admission cost and a free drink. Please note that only three acts of no longer than ten minutes will be chosen and you may receive no technical assistance.
