Get to Know Richard, played by Rico Reid

This is Richard.
He just wants his life back.

He just wants his love back.

Richard

Richard is a professor of Classics. He’s a man of ideas. He’s a man in trouble. He’s a man losing control over his carefully-crafted life. He’s at his breaking point.

Here’s a look inside the mind of a man about to lose it all:

If you had a free day with no responsibilities and your only mission was to enjoy yourself, what would you do?

If possible, have a day with my lady: A banana pancakes morning with her until about 1pm. Then traipse the city, go to a museum, eat some good food.

Do you think you’ve turned out the way your parents expected?

Career wise, yes. Family wise, no. They definitely expected me to be married and to have produced multiple grandchildren for them by now.

I expected a lot to be different, too…

What’s your idea of a good marriage?

One where the amount of good days outweigh the bad ones.

Why should the audience take your side?

Because I want what any reasonable person would from a relationship: love and communication.

Richard is played with versatility and heart by Rico Reid, last seen at the Know in both Moby Dick and Harry & The Thief. As one of Season 17’s most prolific actors, Rico tells us why he thinks you should come see Bureau of Missing Persons:

“Because it is a beautiful play that everyone can (or will in the future) relate to. It is true to the deepest difficulties we experience in life, but showcases it in a magical way that is exclusive to theatre.”

Magic, mystery, love and connection–it’s all waiting for you at Bureau of Missing Persons. Come see if Richard can get his life and his love back when you join us for the show:
